College Trip 2025

What's Up Chat! As we are cracking down on our final blogs for the year, I wanted to talk about my experiences this past week. that hindered me and my group's ability to film. As the college trip was nearing, we had to make sure our project was completely finished before leaving for our trip. Therefore, my group met up this past weekend to completely finish the filming process of our film and leave a week or 2 for editing. So recently, I just went on a college trip where we visited different colleges around Florida. These colleges were University of Central Florida (UCF), University of Florida (UF), Florida A&M University (FAMU), University of Southern Florida (USF), Florida State University (FSU), Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). Here's how it went...

My Experience: To begin as of right now I'm not entirely sure what I want to major in so I don't know what college I want to completely invest my all in. But there are good programs at FSU that I would want to enroll in such as the engineering program. After this trip I realized that I would honestly go any of these colleges besides Florida Gulf Coast as I am not interested in any of their programs they offer. Although they do have nice dorms and a nice campus. My personally favorites were FSU and USF. The campus life at FSU was really great since we went on a day where people come out at sell items such as clothes, jewelry, and other miscellaneous items. This would grabbed my attention and made me really fond of FSU. We also went inside of FSU's football stadium the Doak Campbell stadium, which was really nice. I also really liked USF because of their campus. There campus was really nice on the outside and the inside looked really modernized. They also had lakes, trees, little gazebos, and even a beach on campus. USF's food was really good as well and I think they had the best cafeteria food out of all of the campuses. We had a tour guide for UCF and it honestly made the experience better. I like the tour guides better than the self guides as the tour guides actually show you places to go and they give information about the school as well. I feel like the self guided tours leave you wandering around the college not knowing what to look for. But at UCF their campus wasn't really the nicest it looked pretty boring and old to me personally. But the guide was explaining the student life and that really caught my attention. UCF has a lot of student activities and clubs available for students and this made me consider UCF as an option. UCF also has the largest student population out of all of the colleges in Florida. Similar FAMU wasn't a bad choice in my opinion, I'm just not entirely sure about the programs they offer at FAMU. But I was fond of how the campus looked at it was structured. I also liked the student life as it seemed very lively when me and my school visited. UF was a really nice and lively school. I rode around on scooters and was able to see most of the campus. I also visited their engineering and biomed rooms and they were pretty interesting. The game room at UF was also cool because they had bowling, pool tables, and new Xbox's for me and my friends to play. I don't remember much about FGCU because I wasn't interested in this school at all since their programs are more centered around environment and medical degrees, which is not what I plan on doing in the future.

Anyways that's all for todays blog see you guys on the next one!
