Jasiah's take on Colors!

What up chat! Today we will be talking about colors and how they influence our emotions and thoughts when watching a movie. Here's how it went...

Main Character: For our main character we decided to use softer colors to help emphasize her personality. We want to portray our main character as someone his is happy, pure, and upbeat. To achieve this feeling we decided to use white and a light, baby blue color. The white helps portray her purity and innocence. While the light blue displays her youth and the freedom, she experiences being a young teenager.

Boyfriend: For the boyfriend in the movie, we decided to use dark and malicious colors. The complete opposite of the main characters colors. The boyfriend will be wearing red and black. The red signifies the danger and blood as the boyfriend is the villain inside this movie and will be killing the girlfriend. The red is also a signal of power and dominance the boyfriend has as he is a jock, football player and stereotypically in teenage drama movies the jock feels entitled or above all others. Additionally, the black on the boyfriend signifies the hidden evil intent the boyfriend withholds from his girlfriend. Moreover, the black slightly hints at the death of the main character in our movie, since black can refer to death & mourning.

Environment: For the environment we decided to use Courtney's room as her room has a soft green color. This green is meant to represent the harmony and contentment of our main character. She also has gray colored walls as a neutral color. The gray represents the balance of our main character between love and life.
