Jasiah Vs Sound

What Up Chat! Today I will be discussing the sounds of my group project. Sounds play a major role in movies. They may go unnoticed but if you take time to pay attention to the sound tracks and sounds you are hearing in a movie, they really help build the atmosphere of the movie. Imagine hearing a movie with no sound. Or a horror movie with upbeat, happy music instead of the scary, tense music. Without these sounds the movie wouldn't be so scary.

Movie Project Sound: To begin, I personally am not the editor for our project. Our editor will be our group member Nyles. He will be in charge of all of the project editing, but me and Courtney will be giving feedback and recommending changes so that our project comes out in the way we envisioned. The beginning of our project will consist of non-diegetic sound, which will be used as background music for our project. This background music will be used to help enhance the "teenage dream' atmosphere we want to create. This music will be upbeat, sort of "teenage white girl" music. Besides the Non-diegetic sound our movie will consist mostly of diegetic sounds such as dialogue and asynchronous sounds. A few scenes will consist of character dialogue between our main character, the boyfriend, and a friend. It is still up for debate whether we want low background music in these sounds or no background music to put importance on the conversation. Furthermore, we will also be using asynchronous sounds for scenes. One scene we have a phone ringing off-screen and we have our final scene (the stabbing), off-screen as the viewer won't visually see the character being stabbed but will hear the slashing sounds. Other than this dialogue and sound effects made by characters will make up most of our movie.
