Jasiah Vs Editing
Whets Up Chat! Today we will be discussing the editing process for My group film, The All-Star Killer.
Here's how it went...
Editing: So, for our editing process we nominated our team member Nyles to be our Editor. He has the most experience with editing software's, which makes him the best fit for this position. Furthermore, the editing software Nyles has chosen is Premiere Pro. He is most comfortable with this app and knows how to navigate around this app to this best of his ability. Problems with our project are mainly lighting, stabilization, and focus. Nyles has maneuvered around these problems with stabilizations tools and color correction tools available within Premiere Pro. I also sent Nyles a lot of clips so that he is able to decide which clips are best suitable for our movie. The editing process should overall be simple as we don't have any additional visual effects. Additionally, our film has a lot of Jump Cuts. We use jump cuts to switch between scenes, different angles and shots. One problem with this we are noticing is that we are worried our film will be too fast paced. This isn't the goal of our movie so after putting all the shots together we will assess the pacing and overall film to make notice of any additional changes. We used many different shots in addition to the jump cuts such as Eyeline matches, Cross-Cutting, cut in/aways, and graphic matching. The basis of our film mainly relies on transitions such as the cuts between our scenes, since we aren't use any visual effects.
