Jasiah Vs Title Sequences
What's Up Chat, today we will be looking at title sequences of 3 different movies and here's how it went...
1st Title Sequence: The first title sequence we will be discussing is the opening title sequences in the movie "Final Destination". This movie starts off with a opener displaying the title with "blood" splatter, x-rays of skeletons, and fatal accidents occurring to the skeleton. These accidents are car accidents, a skeleton being strangled by a wire, and a knife. The use of these images gives an eerie, uncomfortable feeling. Seeing X-rays images of people dying comes off creepy towards the viewer at sets the tone of what's going to happen throughout the movie. Seeing these picture can allow the viewer to guess what's going throughout the movie (fatal accidents, deaths, etc...). Along with the creepy images the colors are all monotonous and black, which goes along with the depressing mood of the movie.
2nd Title Sequence: The 2nd title sequence I will be discussing is the title sequence in the opening of the movie "The Lion King". This movie starts off with a suspenseful music playing as the cut to different scenes. This music gradually gets louder and as it continues playing it adds to the suspense in the beginning, it gives the feeling that "something is coming". Additionally, this sequence displays the setting of this film and shows establishes the main character. The bright colors and beautiful scenery give a totally different vibe from the previous title sequence., this title sequence gives a more happy and lively mood. Furthermore, the animals, music, and scenery all help the viewer feel as sense of "awakening" that's happening in the movie.
3rd Title Sequence: The final title sequence I will be discussing is the title sequence in the movie "Lego Movie 2". To start we can already see the bright colors and cartoony, "Lego" animation. These bright colors help grab the reader's attention and make the movie visually appealing. The scenes also display funny or goofy images like Batman holding a unicorn's hand or superman mowing a lawn. This sets the tone of the movie portraying it as a lively, funny movie. The viewer can already take a guess that this is a kid's movie based on the fact that everything in this movie is Lego's.
